design process
PHASE 1 - INITIAL CONSULTATION AND ONBOARDING
prior to the initial consulation, I will send the client a questionnaire and an invoice for the consultation.
once the questionnaire has been filled in and the payment is received I will reach out to the client to schedule an in-person meeting, preferrably in the house or office in question.
during the consultation, I'll discuss the client's needs and preferences and take note of their budget or provide them with a budgetting tool prior to our meeting if a client is undefined on their budget.
after the consultation, I'll provide the client with an estimate for the project based on the information gathered.
PHASE 2 - CONCEPTUAL DEVELOPMENT PHASE
I will collect a 100% fixed rate deposit before beginning any conceptual work.
once the client agrees to move forward, I will start working on the concept and conceptual design proposal documentation. the document will include: new plan layout, moodboard, first selection of FF&E.
I will provide th client with a contract outlining the scope of work and budget.
I will get in touch to arrange a meeting to go through the document together for further detailing.
PHASE 3 - DESIGN DOCUMENTATION PHASE
I will collect a 50% deposit before beginning any work on the project.
I will develop a design documentation which will include: plan, moodboard, any drawings or sketches, and item-list. full renovation or large renovations will also benefit of 2 concepts together with rendering of each concept, in addition to the above mentioned details.
I will present the design documentation to the client for approval.
minor revisions to the plan may be made at no additional cost (such as changes in finishes and materials).
any major changes to the design plan (i.e. request of new concept proposal and budgetting or request of designing entirely new plan layout)
it is important to note that major design changes will result in additional fees and project termination date may be delayed.
the final design and documentation phase, is by far the longest part of the design process as it involves a lot of detailed work and time spent documenting the finer details of joinery/cabinetry design, bathroom elevations, scaled plans, drawing packages, and 3D visualisations.
when finalised the client and I meet to approve the documents.
once approved, I move forward with the purchasing and procurement of all materials and FF&E items and/or final documentation is sent to our specialists for manufacturing, and I schedule their delivery and/or production time simultaneously.
any additional payments will be collected throughout this phase - weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
PHASE 4 - PURCHASING & PROCUREMENT
once the plan is approved, sourcing and procurement begins.
furnishings: I will purchase the furnishings and implement the design documentation in accordance with the payment schedule.
finishes: upon receipt of client’s written approval of the design documentation and selections, I will provide all necessary information regarding the materials and finishes to client’s specified architect, builder or contractor.
I schedule delivery and/or production time of furniture simultaneously, and get storage units sorted for renovations.
I will keep the client informed throughout the entire process, providing regular updates and answering any questions they may have.
I will do my utter best to complete the project on time and within the agreed-upon budget.
I will collect payments weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending of project scope.
at this point, major changes to the plan will require a new contract and deposit.
PHASE 5 - IMPLEMENTATION PHASE
throughout this phase, I coordinate and manage the building (when requested), and/or fitting phase of the project.
I bring over our partners of specialists, craftsmen, carpenters, seamstresses, and favorite brands.
I organise in-person meetings with contractors or builders as often as needed.
I send regular emails to update client as often as necessary.
I will obtain in written what cannot be photographed prior to the install day to ensure no private items or art pieces are photographed during the photoshoot.
PHASE 6 - INSTALL PHASE
the install phase includes arranging the furniture and adding any decor and accessories.
I arrive on site and install all of the FF&E items together with a trusted small team when necessary.
I use this time to take professional pictures of the project so I can update my social media platforms and website.
for full renovation services I ask our clients and their fur babies not to be home during this phase, so we can work efficiently and get things done as fast as humanly possible.
I will collect the remaining payment upon completion of the project.
PHASE 7 - HAND-OVER PHASE
during the hand-over phase, I do a final inspection of the project and make sure no issues remain unsolved.
depending of the scope of the project, or when appropriate, I provide client with a handover folder with any additional information they may need. happy client = happy us.
additionally, I often request a review from our clients for testimonials and referrals.
if client wishes to do more work together, a new contract can be drafted and we can schedule in the new project.
FEES
my fees are based on a fixed and hourly rate. once the scope of work is defined I will provide you with an estimate of the total cost before beginning any work.
please note that any changes to the scope of work may result in additional fees.
PAYMENT
all payments will be deposited before each phase starts, with the remaining or additional work due upon completion of the project.
I will collect a 50% deposit before beginning any work on the project.
I will collect 25% payment halfway through the project.
I will collect the remaining 25% payment upon completion of the project.
Late payments may incur additional fees.
I accept bank transfers and Revolut transfers.
CANCELLATION POLICY
if you need to cancel or reschedule a consultation or appointment, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance.
if you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, a cancellation fee may apply.
cancellation of the project before work begins will result in a full refund of the deposit.
cancellation of the project after work has begun will result in a prorated refund based on the work completed.
refunds will not be issued once the project is completed.
COMMUNICATION
I will respond to all client inquiries and communication in a timely manner.
I will provide regular updates throughout the project and be available to answer any questions or concerns the client may have during working hours.

PRIVACY POLICY
I take your privacy seriously and will not share your personal information with any third party without your consent.
I keep all client information confidential, including personal and financial information.
I will obtain in written what cannot be photographed during the photoshoot prior to the install day.
DISBURSEMENTS
the client shall reimburse me for any and all disbursements incurred by me in connection with the provision of the services which are, in my opinion, necessary or advisable for, or incidental to, the performance of the services and may include any one or more of the following:
administrative costs
automobile travel
photocopying and printing
courier and storage unit charges
parking charges away from my office
transportation costs (ie. airfare, taxis),
accommodations and meal expenses when project requires me to be abroad.
(“disbursements”)
PHOTOSHOOT POLICY
the end of a project always includes a photoshoot. these are often done during the installation phase but can also be done on a different day if time does not allow us to get it done. I take pictures to update my social platforms and website. any art pieces that need to be blurred out will be blurred out, as well as any other personal items that are preferred not to be photographed will be moved out of sight during photoshoots.
